About us

Rocky View Water Co-op Ltd. is the largest rural water cooperative in Alberta. Established under the Alberta Rural Utilities Act, it is owned by its members, directed by an elected 9-member board and managed by a professional staff.

We operate under a Water Act approval from Alberta Environment and Parks, meeting or exceeding all provincial and federal water quality guidelines. Our raw water is sourced from the Bow River on the Bearspaw Reservoir. Raw water is stored in a 3 hectare, 225,000 cubic meter reservoir and treated at our Water Treatment Plant on Burma Road. This state of the art plant is operated by our professional staff of Level II operators. Our distribution system, serving over 1450 water connections, consists of a booster station at Glendale and a reservoir at Symons Valley, and over 250 km of water mains.
